car park capers

Yesterday I drove myself into town & played mah-jong 8.30 - noon.  Fuelled up car & then went to Woollies. By the time I had been up & down a few aisles I was zapped.  So called it a day & went down escalator to U/G car park.  When I got there I couldn't remember where exactly I had parked car. (this car park has no numbers or letter on different areas). So I started walking around to look, leaning heavily on my trolley. Eventually I realised I could not walk another step.  A gentleman came back to his car & I explained my problem.  He said sit down here & I will go for help.  So there I was sitting on the low concrete barrier between car park rows.  Then a security fellow came & I gave him the rego for my car & he went off to look.  Then 2 very nice young ladies came & they went off to look also.  They found it & came back with a photo of it on there phone.  They escorted me to car & once I had put groceries in car they took trolley away for me.  If these young ladies had wings they would have been angels.  I managed to drive home & then had a late lunch & spent the rest of the  arvo having nanna naps.

Keith is not going to let me drive into town any more  & I think I have lost my "licence to shop"

Oh, Alice that is not good - losing your "Licence to Shop" I mean - as Billeee says, it is a woman "thing"! But seriously, anyone can lose the car in carparks - we lost our little car in the carpark at Indroopilly shopping centre - which is HUGE! I was sure, when we walked away I knew the number nearest. Came out, where we thought we left the car - nowhere to be found - walked around for ages, then decided to ring for help - they couldn't find it with the carpark cameras. So a great young guy came and walked us over the whole carpark - 4 hours we were looking!!! He says it happens all the time, locals leave it and come back when the shops close, easy then. Anyway, we found it - but I personally think someone had moved it, because I am positive I had never gone into this area. Next time I will take a picture of the first shop I see when we walk in the door.
