Not sure to post this here or in 'Digress'. Anyway here goes:
After a number of issues with our van, the biggest one was the A/C positioned in the wrong place, we are fed up with the attitude from the dealer and the manufacturer. Whilst we feel that manufacturing faults should be rectified under warranty, the dealer and the factory only oblige to the barest minimum and make you feel like a second rate customer (A polite way of saying You are a ballbuster and wish you would just p*** off and take your van with you). They certainly did not display that behaviour at the time of purchase. The list of issues and the reluctance from the manufacturer and dealer to address those in the mains would take one page to write up.
However we are after an opinion. We are considering getting a vinyl stencil made that would be stuck on the rear panel of the van, right above the brand name. It would read ' Do Not Buy One Of These', or words to that effect.
This section will do. At least it's about caravanning. I think most of us here have had our problems with new vans. I did but got great aftersales service.
My aircon was fitted just infront of the rear ensuite instead of middle but I overcome it by having a fan on pushing the cool air to the front bedroom area and works well.
You can get a nice lemon sticker from evilbay that might do the job for you and a lot cheaper.

Hi deverill11' hope u n your wife r well. Saw a car once that said "great car, shame about the canopy" with a sticker from the manufacturer displayed. Hope u get it fixed. Can u pm me the manufacturer, never know when we may decide to get a new van. Cheers. Rocket n strop
Saw a caravan once in Hawker Cp and they had a satellite dish on display with a large sign stating why all should not buy from the company displayed on the dish. Also had an offer if you wanted to know more to knock on the door and they would be happy to explain more.
That company had a very bad reputation so as I walked past just said "änother one?"and he gave thumbs up.
Just be careful with the sign, but if you feel that they warrant it then so be it. If they threaten to so you can tell them that all the info will come out and you will get one of the TV staations to follow proceedings and they would possibly pay all costs.

I understand your problem and I know how you must feel.
There are legal avenues available to you to get satisfaction for genuine warranty issues with your new van. OFT, Tribunal in each state and last resort of legal action.
You need to be careful of the legal consequences of a public naming and shaming should you lose your dispute.
We have a Regal Caravan which has been tried and tested in Australia over many years and has a good name. Our van is not "open plan" like many new vans. Our door is situated near the back of the van and we walk into our lounge room. Then moving towards the front of the van (internally) we then have the kitchen area which has walls both sides of the van working their way towards the middle of the van creating a "hallway" type effect. This is where our air conditioner is situated on the roof between the two internal walls which are about 4ft apart (see picture). This creates a solid internal area to mount the air conditioner. Then moving forward is the shower cubicle on the left and the toilet/bathroom on the right. The rig then opens up into the bedroom area. This setup ensures that the van is solid because of the inward walls creating a "hallway' effect and ALL the heavy items are situated over the dual axle. I wonder about the new vans and especially all the "new and untested" brands flooding the market these days. With an "open plan" caravan floor layout how can you possibly have a "solid" roof structure to support the weight of an air conditioner especially on our poor and rough country roads? ............but this is just my opinion.

CTJ55, our A/C was mounted in the same place as yours only cms away from the partition that leads to the bathroom. The net result was that the sensor would read too early and shutdown the A/C.
