Another way is to do what we did when we sold our van,we went to have a look at second hand vans similar to ours at caravan sales yards, you can get an idea from the price tags there putting on similar vans,we came away feeling gee there grubby old things compared ours , and at there asking price ours has to be worth more or maybe less depending on how it's been looked after...
Last year about June o'clock I sold our two owner 5.8m 1998 Windsor Dynasty Poptop which was in excellent condition, kept undercover for the 10 years we owned it....did not have air con ,battery or bathroom which hampered the sale re desirability.
We got $12,800.
Based on that and to me prices have slipped somewhat recently I would expect about 10k would be reasonable for yours.
Just my thoughts.
I recently bought a '98 Coromal 18ft Tandem axle Full van with new aircond
2 singles, and usual accoutrements.
Insurance valued and covered it for $19.800.
I paid $12k for it and drove back from Vict.
Sorry but you ain't gonna get much.
The more you look. the more there are, seriously.
ten a penny.
Even Phoenix are cheap.
My prev van 6.5 mtr off roader Roadstar. 2000 model cost $77k new.
I got $38k last yr for it.
Well used, but very well set up and definitely better than new,
mechanically and electrically..
Best of luck mate.
Think about putting it on a site somewhere.
or some parks have storage areas.
Find one in nice area. Leave there.
and go there with car (and boat) for weekends.
can any one let us know how much our van is worth as we have to sale due to bad health.
it is a 96serise luxury line pop top 17ft6 two berth with loads of extras ,pull out awning a/c micro wave new cover etc and many more .
Hi FPW
3 weeks now I have had our Supreme Spirit 2008 pop top on Gum trees, priced at $19900. 300 hits, 1 email, 1 text message.
It really is a buyers market out there with so many vans for sale, incease in people demanding caravans with ensuites, set up with free camping on there mines.
Honestly wish you luck and I hope you have a speedy sale.
Hi Fred, with so many vans for sale, you might have quicker results selling a bit lower, less than $15,000?.
When our pop top was for sale it was on gumtree for about 6 months with nearly 4000 views over that time. We dropped the price a couple times.
Only 2 calls about it, that were not serious buyers. Then when we had just about given up on ever selling it, out of the blue came a call from a couple who "just had to have" ours. We got our then current asking price.
So don't give up hope, someone should eventually buy it.
Radar, good luck selling your van too.
Cheers, John.
