Nappysan Maths

Does my maths work out?  As nappysan clones are around 33% Sodium Percarbonate, if one used 100% Sodium Percarbonate does that mean you would only use 1/3 of the amount?

If so, might work out a better "storage size" option.

Cheers John

Just buy the homebrand and don't stress. There are bigger things to stress about.

I don't see why not as the super market product must have fillers to make up the bulk.
Can be bought on Ebay for around $20 for 5 kilos.

Tongue in cheek John. Sprinkle a capful and jobs done.

Absolutely - HW - sprinkle a capful, when empty, and then as needed.. Watch out though, one of the home brand ones has changed the percentage of Sod. Percarbonate down to 28% - their Boost in the purple canister is 32% and works well.

And - meetoo - 5kg is a lot to store in limited space I reckon. It's pretty cheap anyway and conveniently packed.

 Good point jules.

Just asking about usage of the 100% gear.

Anyway, off topic, it's going to be one degree warmer tomorrow, and at the low temps here in SA, every bit extra is a good bonus. Come on Spring/Summer.

Cheers, John.

Like many RVs, if its not sitting with a downward slope onto the end of the sullage pipe, it tends to build up in the pipe backwards.

We often get a bad smell in the lowest point - the shower.

We would like to be able to clear the soap, grease and hair which forms a smelly, grey sludge.

Does Napi San do the job and do you superdose it like a swimming pool (and if so, how many capfuls) or just the same amount as above?

And do you superdose it with the smell test as AK does or less or more often?

If none of the above, and you do it routinely or by smell, how often roughly?

Hi Bruce and Bev,

I imagine that a good dose of percarbonate could help with the shower, similar to perhaps carb soda. Maybe block up the outlet underneath so it could sit a while and do it's work.

Btw, just twigged to your tree picture. :)

Cheers, John.

Bruce - as metoo says - it will work I'm the shower drain, basin drain, sink drain . I have the outlet to the grey water tank closed - tip about a capful down the drain, let it sit, half hour or so later, put some water down, not too much - then empty the grey water tank. works for us - no smells and no gunk (i.e. shaving gunk, whiskers and foam, hair etc.)

I have lived in WA for over sixty years and have not found any sulphur smell.

Where are you referring to?
