just putting there a question about washing detergents. Has anyone got any clues on a natural cleaneras I am sick of having to continually try and clean waste water pipes of the gunk that forms in them especially as we are now handle this waste water via our grey water tanks.
I thought I saw some comments back some time ago but can't find them in "search"
i would appreciate any comments that you wish to sent our way.

Hi Colin, I suspect Aus-Kiwi means that he adds it to the hot water after finishing the dishes before he lets it go. I would take a guess it's about a tablespoon.

using fabric softener in the rinse is a major cause of that grey slimey build up in hoses. At home or when in caravan parks but using my own machine, i run a cup of vinegar through with the last rinse, clothes come out soft and it helps clean the hoses.

vinegar is a natural softener and was used before the advent of the modern softeners. Once a month I give my machine at home a clean out with one litre of white vinegar, set on high and hot. Also fill the softener cup with vinegar.
