We are on our way

Hi all,

After a lot of rushing about since getting home we are just about ready to roll. Its 2.30am and going to bed. I will take some Photo's in the morning and post tomorrow night of the rig. Will stop in Forbes tomorrow to see our son and have a night out with him. Our plans have moved around a bit and will be heading towards the Fush And Chups in WA.

Regards Jim & Lambie

I hope you are sleeping in - because you won't sleep tonight Jim - I remember when we did our first ever "big lap" - neither of us could sleep - we ended up leaving home at about 5am (Victoria) and headed off to Mildura - didn't get very far, had breakfast on the road - then booked into a motel at 2pm - went to bed ad slept till 6 the next morning!

Enjoy your travels - say g'day to all in WA - are you going to the meet up at Seabird in late September - you will meet heaps of people, and have the best time - details on the "get togethers" -Sue, Phil and Tracey are the best hosts, and their place is a great place to explore from.

Keep us all in the loop!!!

Clear Skies and happy safe travelling to you both....let me know when you hit Eaglehawk on your return...we can head up to Greens together...Hoo Roo

Four pieces of advice to bear in mind.....

1. Heed Russell Coight's advice re the weather in W.A.

2. Hire a gold detector in Kal and find one of these to help with the trip costs..

3. Don't remain too close to the salt water with your new rig, when you go fishing.....4. and be careful on the sandy beaches....

Hi all,

We got away at 12.45pm. I had to make up a antanna base and pole for our Yagi antenna on the back bumper bar.

We were just telling Bruce that at 5pm yesterday 13km west of Orange NSW another Semi traler fully loaded lets the 4 cars I front of us traveling at 100km go past. We are 300 Metres back at same pace. Out he comes to make a right hand turn in front of us. He either missed a gear 1st to 2nd or just a total F W.

We locked up, even with ASB, I release the brakes and missed his tail gate by mm. All caught on dash cam.

If we did not have both ESC on both car and van and my driving skills we would never have made it.

We made it safely to Forbes to visit our son.

A free another late start and a stop at the big green shed for spare parts for our

You guessed it. THE Van. The bottom of the shower door is 25mm short. We had to Buy a shower replacement bead to clip to the bottom of the door.

so tonight we are in Narrobi NSW warm as toast with our Diesel heater going flat out, and about to have a glass of red.

Life is good. Keep safe one and all.

I do need help with connecting my I phone with my I pad.

The cable is connected between the two But are not talking to each other. Sending this Via my I phone is a PITA.

Warm regards to you all. We may reach BrokenHill tomorrow if Lambie and I wake up on time.

ERRR....something appears to be not quite right here.....

You came out thru Orange to Forbes.....and now your in Narrabri....on your way to Broken Hill ????

Well...I guess that you will see lots of NSW on your roundabout way there hey.

Enjoy the outback .

BTW...our shower is also 25 mm or so short in the door as well. Apparently it is to let the exhaust fan work properly. As my Jayco workshop boss said here in Orange when I queried it..."nothing can get sucked out of a vacuum M8".

Have fun.

Cheers   Keith
