Over here in W.A, I'd never heard of it because theyre Eastern States based and just starting off in SA before finally moving into WA.
Its free - you pay nothing and they say they have a membership of 200,000+. They go to companies like power/gas/water/insurance outfits and negotiate a better price for its members. They don't get a commission from you signing on to any company, but they do get paid a fee when a company signs on.
Only found out about it because it was on a TV news programme in Perth last night and Ive joined ready for when they commence in Perth - but I can still get cheaper general and private health insurance, for example, for products and services from nation wide businesses

If you join up be prepared for an inundation of emails about everything.
I joined some time ago and had to unsubscribe 6 times before the emails stopped.

oh - thanks for the info about being sprayed with emails - its bad enough with Anaconda and a few others.
Anaconda are the pits as if you unsubscribe from their emails (2 per day), then you loose your VIP membership - and they have some really good deals on. Being a VIP member we saved $400 on a Waeco we bought. I just put up with it and delete them without even opening them.
Deals.com and Kogan are the same - I think nearly all of these on-line companies do the same.

Yep, sadly most of these schemes are borderline scams, they get your personal details, then comes a flood of advertising emails.
As time moves on and they share your personal details with others the flood of emails becomes a deluge.
I pass my email address on to no one that has no honest and genuine need for it, even family members unintentionally pass your info on to these parasites.
Took me ages to stop spam emails from Linkedin, my details had been given to them by one of my family members.
I reckon you're right Bruce.Gee I get so many unwanted emails and it's becoming a pain deleting them, more so if you haven't "logged on " for a day or two.
Cheers Owen.
