Good article John, don't know why they call it "farmstay" when they are bush camping with no facilities. Easy money too @ $25 to $55 per night. Not sure if I'd like it if I owned an adjoining property where they had people bush camping with no facilities. The campers are itinerants of unknown quality in the eyes of the neighbouring landholders so first time a fence gets cut or someone steals something, helps themselves to some firewood it will be on for young and old. I'd imagine there would be a bushfire risk as well.
Apologies for the negatives but there are always 2 sides to the story.
For positives the chance to camp remotely in such lovely country is tempting and I'd certainly use it.
Caravans these days are like fleas on a dog,and with this crazy level of vans on the road these farm stays in my opinion are very necessary.these stupid councils really make my blood boil,
Is this the future greedy caravan parks overflowing with business charging big dollars might as well sell the van stay in motels.
