Have been searching the net for a generator box and everything you look at all you see are $ signs.
Trying to get someone to answer the phone seems impossible.
Finally after reading of the advertised Generator box in the Caravan & Motorhome on Tour magazine decided to ring the DS Custom Toolboxes place in Melbourne and was attended to very quickly. Ordered, paid for and awaiting delivery. Reasonable price compared to all the others. Opted for the front Opening box so see how we go.
Nice staff to talk to also.

Depends what you want one for. Travel or usage of.
Any toolbox mfg (as you found) will knock one up for you.
If using genny in it. a good idea is to have it big enough you can put a layer of lagging inside to quieten it down when running.
Egg cartons glued to inside is good. as is Aircond Duct, lagging. 17mm and up.
If genny fixed it's a good idea to have an extension exhaust made up for it too. With proper baffles inside. or like mine it a small stainless box I welded up. Stuffed with S/S mesh that sits inside a larger S/S box with inlet/outlet
and the outer box I can fill with water. Either slow running, or top up.
Real quiet.
All genny's have to have, legally (as they industrial/commercial. is a 'Spark Arrestor" fitted.
Just remove exh flange from head. cutoff. and extend the outlet. then weld on whatever,
extended to outside the cover of genny if in casing.
easier if in frame.
But genny's are only so noisy cause nobody modifies spark box to suit.
I had a Yammie 3/4 kva. yrs ago. Briefcase style. couldn't hardly hear it running. They have silencers.
