Camping children and manners .

I have to from our 3 month or so trip so far the children at camping grounds have been the best well mannered I have met . That's from MT Gambier all around the coast to Darwin . I say hello how are you ? I ALWAYS get a nice "good thank you", "How are you? ., Maybe it's the parenting with these children ? I assume some are home schooled . Seem very intellectual . One 7 or 8 year old came up and asked about our motorhome . As he was intrigued in the stability or levelling system ., Was only to happy to show him .. Hope he grows up to be an engineer etc ., We seem to be down on young generation . We don't need to be .. Well the RV family ..

Unfortunately it's  the same with everything. The bad ones get the headlines and the good get overlooked.

All the good stuff gets relegated to the back pages.

You only have to see all the youngsters at the Anzac day marches these days to see that all are not tarred with the same brush.

I too have come across many 'travelling' kids and all have been the same KA. You are also right in that they seem to be better edumacated as well.

I retired 2 years before my wife who worked at a Special Developmental School for 25yrs. I didn't need to work but I got a part-time job as a Children's Crossing Supervisor so that we both got the school holidays & could go away in them. I worked outside many different schools with students from Prep to VCE (18yrs). I found most of the kids fantastic & a real joy. As a consequence of that I have a lot of time for our Aussie kids they're great.

Hi aus-kiwi, yes, have noticed well behaved kids too. All home schooled or younger. One boy asked me about my inverter and in the end he lost me as he knew everything there was to know about them. Cheers.mrocket

Kids are great. From Cloncurry to Coronation beach WA (so far) its the young adults on loud dirt bikes or quads that spoil it. Inconsiderate selfish riders.

Our grandkids show great respect. As has been shown to them by their parents and grandparents. What goes around. ..........
