Have you all had the experience of importing the caravan to New Zealand? Please share your experiences on it like which forwarding company did u guys use?
I have shipped the caravan to Auckland by using shipfromuk. The price is very competitive and the services was excellent. If you have no prior knowledge about importing the caravan into NZ, you should use them as they advised you everything you want to know. You can also able to track your shipment and photos of your caravan through all the loading stages. They also helped in handling all the paperworkfor the custom either in uk . Never had any issues.
Would love to get some idea of how hard and $$$$to take a caravan or motorhome to NZ. We can only dream. Would be much easier for my husband and I to use our own MH over there as he used a wheelchair and we are all set up to make it easier for both of us to manage.
Hope someone can help. TIA.
Hi Yvonne. As far as I'm aware the only way to move vehicles from Aust to NZ is inside a shipping container.
A mate of ours has moved high performance Holdens both ways and always has it in a container. Theres a lot of companies that will do this out of Sydney and Melbourne, so no doubt prices vary quite a bit. Sorry - have no idea of cost - he last moved a car (nothing else in the container) about 2 years ago and cost him round $1200

The amazing things you see when nomading Australia
I have imported a few cars both ways . Just make sure your able to OFFLOAD it the other end or fees apply big time . Mainly in Aust.. A caravan should be pretty well ok as there no EPA ( engine) or too many design rules .. This must be done before loading for transit .. Small car vary from $1200 to $2000 . Drive on drive off .
