Just Returned From Alice

Just returned from my trip to Alice Springs taking in Ularu , Olgas, Kings Canyon,  Alice Springs West MacDonnel Ranges & Coober Pedy. What a wonderful trip we had too! Absolutely loved every place we went too, especially the Olgas. Did the rim walk at Kings Canyon & reached the 2nd lookout at the Olgas. Walked the base at Ularu! It was a bit disappointing that the walk took me so far away from the rock on the Northern side though. Loved the Territory!  Ormiston Gorge was stunning! I would have loved to go all the way to Darwin! maybe next time. Thank you to all those Grey Nomads who gave me advice before my trip, it helped me plan my trip so much better then I would have otherwise.

Hello John, I shared the trip with my Sister so that was a help with the expenses. We traveled approx 4,200. Cost of fuel was around $1,100. We did use caravan parks! next time I wouldn't bother so much because you can save a lot by free camping. Almost every rest stop in the Territory allows 24 hr fee camping. In total we spend around $1,700 each.

The Territory sure surprised me! So green & pretty. I was expecting flat, boring country covered in salt bush plains. We loved it! I guess it helped that we chose the right time of year to travel as everything was so green. Seriously it was dryer & more barren at my place. I would recommend this trip to anyone.
