Hi Greg I started touring on gas ,no big deal ,however when you go to certain places it can be unreliable.In these instances Icheck ahead and I think you may be able to access a web site that may be dedicated to it .Cheers John. G'day 150Red . I had gas & petrol . Went from Coffs , Moree , St George , Mt Isa to Darwin . Then Adel , Melb . Back up Hume , Pacific

to Coffs . Never had trouble with getting gas . With a 3.5t m/h was getting 12mpg , bought a WW2 l/h drive Jeep on a car trailer in

Coober Pedy then got 11.5mpg . Do you have "petrol backup" . I used to run first 15.20min on leaded replacement , then switch to gas

for the rest of the day , on "climbs" I would use petrol , did not have to , but it was how I like to work the motor.

Hi 150Red, I went right around Aus last year, it wasn't that there was no gas but I could not get gas at about 10 places ( I documented them all for further reference ) Their bowsers are either stuffed & the repairs I was told are becoming massive in $$$, some places were waiting for the repairs for weeks, others were not bothered with it because of the hassles & were not renewing it You will definitely need Petrol backup if you intend to go around. This was my experience last year & I come to the conclusion that they could not be bothered as they also said LPG was not worth the trouble. I did come across a repair man near Streaky Bay SA & I asked him what was happening, he did confirm that it was very expensive to service the LPG systems & that's why some people are not fixing them.
Just for interest I travelled from Norseman To Ceduna across the Nullarbor & only used petrol for about 70 K's & I think that was because of a dead bowser.

ok guys thanks for the info,because the truck is dedicated gas theres no lines pumps or tanks so when we do start travelling i will prob have to make sure i can get gas before i go,i have been doing that before when my wife and i go on lost weekends,but other than that,using the system i have i am limited to lpg only.
but where theres a will theres a way.....cheers

My last MH was a Ford / Sunliner - gas and petrol - I was happy the petrol tank was still there - on gas most of the time but run out a few times
