We got our new BFG A/T Ko tyres fitted to the 200 series GX tug today. Tempe Tyres here in Sydney. @$259 X 5 each, fitted balanced and disposal of old. Plus wheel alignment @$40 Kiss the Grand Treks goodby @70,000km.
The Birdie singing, Is that they are looking at Melb and possibly Bris as well.
Very good price, I just replaced 4 Bridgestone 275/65-17 D697 LT Tyres. Total price; Supply, fit, balance, wheel alignment, hand torqued wheel nuts $1,240. Bridgestone Select Dealer at Terminus St Liverpool - against yours which 4 would work out at $1076 - I could have saved $164. Doesn't it always happen, good deals after having spent more elsewhere?

Is that the Bridgestone buy 3 and get one free?
I was thinking of using Bridgestone but I think I'll look around.
Hey Jim. Good to see you get some GOOD breaks in the whole deal with nomading. Does that mean more cheap red and chip und chips when you visit us in WA???????????????
And by then Aldi will be all over Perth, so we can get some good deals if we cant find them at 1st Choice or Dan Murphys.
I buy a nice drop of Chardonnay in 1 lt bottles from Dans - 6 = $50. Not the usual cheap tasting rubbish for that price

@ Bryan- No they exclude some tyres from their offer 4 for 3 price - Bridgestone 275/65-17 D697 LT's was excluded. Costco couldn't match Bridgestone's price though

Thanks Possum, If it's not across the board then they may just be getting rid of old stock. I'll check mine out with them first.
In Victoria I find Hunstman tyres to be very cheap. I try and line up a couple of cars at the same time and they give you an even better deal. Unsure what size you bought for your BFG's but 265/70/17 were purchased at $250 each for 10 about 4 months ago.

Hi David,
We fitted the BFG A/T 275/65 R17 (LT = Light Truck) Ko's Not the KO2's which have an even stronger side wall and higher load rating Plus extra $$$$. The 275 is 10mm narrower then our old 285's on the tread only.= better fuel /less drag Which gives us -1.6 as to going 285 /70 R17 = +3.6 Which = higher fuel consumption and less torque at the outer tyre rolling circumference. I want to maintain maxium torque for towing.
They had to check our VIN plate first. which was fine.
The original KO's have a much higher load rating then the Dunlop Gran Treks. We used this same BFG tyre on the old Parado and matching camper trailer. The last set gave us 90,000km with rotation. Tempe tyres do a deal now with every rotation a state of the art wheel alignment for $60 all up. That to me is cheap motoring. The best outcome is by using the spare in the rotation. They drew me a diagram of how they do it for the entire life of the five tyres and = 100,000km a set. They have been good to me in all our dealings and have ask us to comment on Google. These same tyres have had even wear @ 40 -42psi. Very happy with them.
What sort of run did ya get outa the bridgies mate,I've got the bridgestone 693's and have been very happy with them on the dirt but they don't make em in 15's anymore,so was lookin at the 697's.
