well now am the owner of Colorado 2009 twin cab with canopy all good now would like to know what people do to seal the the tail gate from dust , is there any type of rubber seal that they have used tried or are trying at this point in time , i do have a lot of learning now to know how to handle and use this vehicle to be proficient with the 4 wd side of things plus a lot of other side issues eg the winch etc going to have to go down the back paddock and tie the vehicle to a tree and see how it all works , thanks for reading this and replies greatly appreciated
Good luck with that. had a 2011 Dmax with canopy and trying to keep dust out was nigh on impossible. went to Clarke rubber and got rubber sealing helped a bit but dust still got in. but then we did a lot of dirt road work.
Cheers bass
I got some "Truseal" from Evilbay. It came from the US of A and took about a week to arrive. Cheap too, about $20 delivered at the time. It comes in a roll and you cut it to size and has a self adhesive backing. Very easy to put on as long as Uncle Al stays away, if you have a Uncle Al that is.
It works OK but Uncle Al got up first that day and I put in on upside down and wrong way around so probably would work much better if on the correct way in the first place.
Keep Safe on the roads.

I have a 2013 Dmax dual cab with a canopy and when everything is closed up, looking thro' a side window you can see a lot of light coming in around the rear door. (big gaps which did surprise me).
I went to Bunnings and found a roll of "self adhesive", quite thick rubber stripping. They have a variety of thicknesses and lengths and it is individually packaged.
I stuck it all around the rear door, closed it up and rechecked the visual and could not see too much light, if any.
We travelled to Darwin and back, did a few gravel roads throughout the journey and found it worked well enough. However, by the time I got home after 10 weeks in some places it was starting to come off, but considering how many times the rear door was opened and closed, it served me well.
I cant remember product, but if you cant source it I would be happy to check it out for you next time I'm at the store (assuming it is still available). Just PM me.
to all that replied to my post about the sealing of the tail gate greatly appreciated will certainly be looking very close at all suggestions Cb being fitted Monday so a bit more learning !!!
