Tibooburra to Noccundra road

hi just wondering if this road is acceptable to tow a 20 ft van on. And is it all dirt or has some been sealed?

Hi Tottybar, as no one has answered i'll give it a go we done the Noccundra road back in 2012 and had no problems at all we have a 19' dirt road van. just plodded along stopped for morning brew lunch etc. for a while we were with a troopy towing a Bushtracker but they turned around before warri gate as they said it was to rough ( did notice that they had all tires inflated hard ) we let our tyres on van and car down and just plodded along. no damaged to van at all.
Cheers bass

Thanks for that Bass, hopefully a few years down the track it may have even improved a bit.
We won't be in a hurry just want to go up that way for something different.

That's the Warri Gate Rd;

In my view, its a tough rd. Doable, but rough! Its very rocky. The road into Tibooburra from the south (Silver City Hwy) is about the same from packsaddle up if you're coming that way. It'll give you some idea of what lay's ahead.

From my experiences, the Birdsville, Strzlecki & Oodnadatta tracks are all better roads if you need something to gauge it by.

Its not as bad as the Nathan River road, or the road from Charlotte Waters to Dalhousie, but its getting up there lol!

I run my tyres low (F20/R26/trailer20)
