A small mining town in the WA Goldfields region has been so overrun by feral goats that the local shire has stepped in to help find a solution.
The Shire of Coolgardie started receiving complaints about feral goats more than two months ago, when Kambalda residents took to social media to complain of gardens being eaten and smashed car windows.
Regulatory services manager Jill O'Brien told ABC Goldfields-Esperance the animals had been coming into town from local mining tenements in Kambalda East and off the main Highway from Kambalda to Kalgoorlie.
I didn't see any goats last year when we stayed in Kambalda - great free camp there, next to the Recreation Centre, where you an get a nice long, hot shower for $2.50.
