Sorry to disapoint but that is old news. They already have started a dealer network. Also they have nothing to do with the Great Wall even though they make them in China. That is still ATECO responsibility if you can call their service that. Haval will not be servicing or carrying spares for the Great Walls that are already here. There has been a write up in the RACV Royalauto. Also there is some comments on the Great Wall Owners Forum. I have a GW X240 and could not be happier other than it is not a tow vehicle. My concern with the Haval is its a big vehicle with a small motor (( think either 2 or 2.2ltr) and the retail price is north of $50K. I personally cannot see they will sell many at that price, even with the spec sheet being loaded up with all the fruit and goodies. At 35K they may get some traction but not at that price.

I had a brief 'think' about a Haval, but only for a few minutes. I emailed Haval H9 and H8 and asked what the towing capacities were - was told 2000-2500kg towing with <<< 100kg >>> ball weight.
What a joke - That's useless - box trailer level - you can't even tow an Avan Cruisliner with it, as the Cruiseliner has a ball weight of 100kg EMPTY !!!
Similar situation with the current Kia Sorento and Sportage, both have the ball weights DROPPED to 100kg
A quick check shows the smaller Australian single axle caravans have a ball weight of around 135 kg, so unless you have an 'expensive' European import (Swift, Adria, Bailey, Elddis) that has sub-100kg ball weights, these are useless as tugs !

Wondering about ShortNorth ? - Short North is the railwayman's nickname for the NSWGR main line between Sydney and Newcastle
Know a couple of owners and a few mechs that have worked on the current models and they say if I got one find a new mech to look after it so that did me in. Not a good rep for what looked like it had potential in the motorhome model at least if it made the import listings. Not sure where they went with the motorhome version in the end .
