Irrespective salt or fresh they all inhabit the same water in the NT and they all bite . Camping near a water hole or for that matter a storm drain in the NT brings to mind the saying " you can't put brains in statues"

Best places to camp up here in the NT IS near waterholes or creeks & many thousands do every year. Were just getting more & more croc's up this way every year. Camping on the ground is always a stupid risk & a good camp dog is a must, don't think I will get dragged out of bed in my motorhome & we don't swim in locations that crocs could frequent.
Found a 2.5mtr croc on our rural block 2 years back & were miles from the nearest river/waterway. The boss & I were collecting cane toads on our firebreak at night & heard a rustle in the long grass, gave us both a fright. They no longer fear people like they used to.
More chance of getting some weird mosquito bourne virus than being taken by a snapping handbag in the NT, and I wonder if alcohol was a factor????
