We take delivery of our new Penguin in a couple of weeks. First order of business will be adding a solar panel,.Jayco states it has solar provision, any idea were the cable terminations are, both top and bottom?
My Van came wired to fit one on the roof but I chose to go portable ,personal opinion here the reason why portable are my preference , when your on the road if you have a 12 v to 12 v charger the alternator supplies your battery power, and when you find a nice shady place to camp, you can move the panel so it's always in peak sunlight.
The portable panel is simple to fit yourself two wire a fuse and Anderson plug and terminals.

Fair enough , it's always good to have plenty of solar power, my needs are to power the tv and LEDs The fridge is on gas, so anything else is over kill, we all use power diferently some need more some need less .
Are you serious? the agent didn't know if it had a battery or even where the charger was, but that's typical of agents, they are there to sell vans not offer technical advice.
If he does not know then get him to refer your question up the line. If he will not do that then ring the factory and complain that he will not assist you, the factory will know where the connection point will be located. You may find that the agent did not order wiring for a solar installation, it's not a standard feature generally.
There is no good digging through the top skin to find it's not really there. If you go digging where someone else on the forum says their one was all you may end up with is just a blemish on top of your Penguin.
