Replacing heater dash control panel on Isuzu dmax

I have removed the heater/air dash panel from my 2013 Isuzu dmax to install a uhf radio. When trying to get it back the rear controls came off the heat dial and the selection dial and I cannot get them back on and working.

is there a special way to do it or is there a clip I am missing. It appears to seat properly but does not catch the selection dials properly
