Rooms and Food In Adelaide

Got off the Ghan  on Friday morning   38 in Darwin three days later 16  in Adelaide .     Staying at the Sage  on South Tce, Very  nice hotel and within easy walk of the CBD.    The Dumpling King  on King William nice tucker for Asian feed .   Stay out of the Underground food court  in Rundle Street bloody hopeless tucker  and cold to boot.

Haven't been back to SA since the early 70's  certainly grown   and a very clean  city due largely  to it's 10 cents surcharge on bottles and cans.   Some are making a nice handy bonus to there pensions buy collecting them up for the refund so I'm told .

Went out to Port Adelaide to the aviation  museum,   now there's a static display  to visit if into aircraft and rocket  restoration like I am.    It appears that  all the heritage  museums are out at Port Adelaide   Maritine , Rail and Aviation   seems a strange location but well set up ,   about $5.00 by public bus from CBD   $39.00 by taxi.   Got caught again by not asking  how to get around  so caught the Taxi out to PA and Bus back to the CBD .  The Trams are an absolute  bonus for a free ride around the CBD and a paid ride further out of the CBD to the beach

For a good morning out you can't beat the Adelaide  Zoo especially the Panda's, which was the primary objective of the stop over  for Mrs Wombat ,   we got there about 0930 and all the animals were active  including the Panda's.     Nice flat walking not like Sydney where you need the fitness of an SAS trooper to get around the exhibits  .  The trick in Sydney is Cable Car to the top and walk down hill to the ferries back to the Quay  but still tough going for the unfit

Sorry not staying longer here  but need to get home for Monday,  But I'll be Back all going well
