On a serious note, I have cracked the problem of remembering 'strong(ish)' passwords.

I just make up a sentence with around seven or eight words that includes some numbers.  I often choose one relates to my personal life or perhaps the particular application.  I then use the first letter of each word using all capital letters, punctuation marks and numerals.

e.g.

I have lived in Queensland for all of my life - since 11th/May/ 1941!

becomes  IhliQfaoml - s11/M/1941!

If I feel that I need to record the password I just write down the first few words.  That is enough to jog the memory without compromising the password.

Works for me.
