Earth wire

Going to run my interior lights off my aux battery. The earth wire seems to go to everything, tail lights ect from the vehicle. Can I connect the earth wire, in the van to both batteries?

What van do you have. My Spaceland has the batteries earthed to the frame/chassis. The earth pin in the the trailer socket is also wired to the chassis. Check to see if your van is wired that way.

It's a 2001 Regal pop top. It is earthed through the plug with the White wire.

I was researching the forum for info on our new (to us) van's 12v wiring; thank you! Your reply helped me. Our van is a 1992 Island Star, built by Spaceland :)
