Looks reasonable but I was told by a sister in-law who lives in Colac to keep away so went to Meridith park, free camp, other side of lake. Turn off highway just out Geelong side of town. Well signed.

Sorry, forgot to mention that there is a nice little CVP west end just out of town, on highway, for memory I think it is called Colac CVP. I have stayed there as well. Owners can appear a bit strange byt very nice.

Keep Safe on the roads.

Stayed there just before Xmas for two nights. Was old council park, with lots of  ensuite sites. Has had a lot of work done, fresh painting  and cleaned but still is an old park. Was clean and friendly. All I needed.

Some permanents but no probs.  Had just a powered site and used small toilets and one of the old ensuite as the facilities. on other side of park there was a container style unisex toilets set up. We are planing to go bac and stay longer.

Close to town, closer to Botanical gardens - next door. Great walks along the lakeside. If you are feeling lazy, you can drive thru the gardens!

The cp at the western end lof town looked tp be very noisy due to highway. The cp at the showgrounds looked a bit feral but didn't have a good look. The free camp at the lake looked good, was a few setups spread out along the shore, but it is very windsweep.

Regards

Tony

Stayed a few nights at the Showground a month or so ago.

OK there. Cheap, close to town, clean facilities.
