I found the following resources to be very useful in my search for a personal medical alarm:

The number of choices is overwhelming, so I need to decide which features are really necessary. ISTM that a non-monitored system could cost less than $300 and would provide adequate protection. Fall detection seems to be an expensive extra, unless the user opts for a helmet based device.
