Hi, this time I shall try the written description. Here goes : First the van, it's a 23' traveller (all-terrain ). It has an extended a frame with an aluminum tool box 2 jerry can holders, sits on control -rider independent suspension, 17" rims 5 stud landcruiser (to suit tow vehicle ). There are 3 95ltr water tanks 2 shower and 1 drinking (filtered and separate pump ). On the roof 2 130 watt solar panels charging 3 100 amp hr batteries with a 3000 watt inverter. We also have a 2kva generator (on a slide ) only used for air con. Tow vehicle is a 100 series landcruiser 4.2 turbo diesel 5 speed auto (Sahara ), it does a great job (done 520,000 + kms) and I've never had to top up oil (well done Toyota ).
Well I'm not going to say "I've been everywhere ". Because I haven't, a lot of the kms were clocked up when I was "working " ,a minimum of 670kms a week. Apart from that we've been to Darwin with many side-tracks. Last year we left Romsey (home) went to Wentworth, Brokenhill, Yunta, up the dirt to Arkaroola, from there Strzelecki track to Cameron Corner, then into Western Queensland up as far asn Winton. Beautiful country although it was in drought. We went over to the West ,Nullabor plain and all that, up as far as Broome. (Great trip ).Have done many trips to SA my favorite state. This Easter we're heading to my sister's place (holiday home ) in Pambula to meet up with my brother from Canberra who I haven't seen for a number of years. (Family get together ).When we leave there we'll do the coast as far as Byron Bay, then turn left and see where that takes us.
Cheers Owen.

Hi Owen
How do you find the 23' for extended travel does it restrict you at all? We are a little time off hitting the track again for 2 years on road and we have just purchased a 23 footer as we like to be comfortable, last trip was a 21.5' I know it is only 1.5' but interested how you find it.
Steve
Hi Steve, so far no problems with the length of the van, maybe some tight sites in a few CP's (not a real problem ), I drove semi trailers for over 40 years. The actual length of the van (from hitch to the two spares on rear bumper is 30').
Cheers Owen. (Sorry about the late reply ).

Hi Bushpie, yeah there's always somewhere new to see and something to learn. I'll do as much as I possibly can. But it's such a HUGE COUNTRY I'll never do "everywhere ".
Cheers Owen.
