You will have to cross the Great Divide somewhere so its a matter of which route appeals to you. You could come down Brown Mountain from Cooma coming down near Bega. The road through the Snowy Mountains via Thredbo is sign posted as unsuitable for caravans but you could go via Tumbarumba . You could go through Bright and over Mt Hotham to Omeo. You could head further north and come through Canberra along the Kings Highway to Batemans Bay. Choice, choices

I think there is a hell of a lot more climbs and corners taking the Snowy Mountain Hwy from Tumut Cooma & Brown Mtn then the alternate route of Canberra Braidwood & Batemans Bay and with only 40kms more distance.

I've done the brown mountain option and had no problem either up or down. Traffic down from batemans bay is worse I feel. Don't like the coast road.

Check that Brown Mountain is open. Heard that there had been landslides.
