Weight Distribution Hitch

I have a ford ranger XLT 2015 model and i am looking at the KEME brand of WDH.
Any feed back on these would be appreciated or what do other caravaners recommend.
I will be towing a Paramount Commander 20 ft van at approx 2800 kg loaded
Thank you
Russell

Who makes it Russell.

I Googled it and can't find anything.

Why a KEMI?

Keith.

I misspelt the brand it should be  KEME and they are sold at RV WORLD  Bayswater Victoria.

They are made in china as are most things these days.

The saleman told me that they have been sold under various names in the past.

A set with a 600 lbs rating sells for about $450.00 but what i like is they

run in a bush at the tow ball mount.

Another set has the anti sway control added as well

Thanks

There seems to be no adjustment for changing the ball height to match the van's coupling height.

I presume that there are a range of shanks available.

ps. I don't understand  "what i like the run in a bush at the tow ball mount."

Looks like a copy of one or two others available here.

Sorry I have only ever used Hayman Reese with larger vans so can't help only to say that the service I've had from H/R products over many years I wouldn't change.

1..  Where is your link to what you are talking about? I put "RV WORLD  Bayswater Victoria" into a search engine and could not spot anything in Bayswater. the most lkely one I could get was http://www.awardrvwarehouse.com.au/  They want you to download a catalogue. I am not prepared to do that as I am on the road with a limited download limit.

I tried "keme weight distribution hitch" and all I found was this one. It seems a bit agricultural to me

2..  As far as "they run in a bush" the only ones that dont are the HR Classic Series of WDH. Have a look at the Pro Series Standard Hitch - 275kg that Camec market. They look more robust, they have head angle adjustment and are cheaper.

Have you checked the WDH specs with Ford. I'm reading more and more spec's on various vehicles which state directly or indirectly that warranties can be voided if WDH's are installed . Worth a check direct with Ford not just the Dealer seeing your getting up there with max weight. Just a thought

PS. some manufactures fit their own branded towbars and that appears to be the difference that effects warranty claims and after market fittings

For something this important I'd steer clear of anything cheap or Chinese, the No.1 choice in Oz is Hayman Reese, from TJM, or we use an American one called Eaze Lift, which offers various options for ball weights. Both are available in Aust for parts and advice, and both can be adjusted to match van and tug ball heights.
Be careful what you buy, quality of the steel is important, as well as design, and the availability of parts or service if needed.

Hayman Reese WDH has been made in China for several years now.

I use an Anderson hitch from Titan in Queensland. bRilliant and eliminated sway. Easy to connect and to level .
