It's a pity that the ferry fares to Tazzie are so expensive as a lot of the areas that are being so badly impacted by these wild fires depend on tourism for their communities survival.
We also need to spare a thought for the volunteers who are fighting all these fires they don't have the level of fire fighting equipment or the number of members that their mainland counter parts do, they are working long hours in a very stressful environment and these fires are no where near out.
These Volunteers are true Hero's who are demonstrating what being an Auzzie is all about in a time of crisis, I believe each and every one of them deserves a medal for outstanding commitment, dedication and bravery, I for one salute them all.

Only on the west coast, a the moment Desert Dweller. Though the east coast is getting a lot of rain. Plenty left to see, and the bush will regenerate in time.
