If you live in the Kimberley or Pilbara between Cape Leveque and Mardie you need to prepare your home and family for a possible cyclone, with the development of a tropical low off the Western Australian coast.

This includes people in Broome, Wallal, Port Hedland, Dampier, Karratha and surrounding areas.

As at 2pm on Wednesday 27 January the Bureau of Meteorology advises the tropical low is located within 110 kilometres of 13.6 degrees South 118.0 degrees East, estimated to be 660 kilometres northwest of Broome and 750 kilometres north of Port Hedland.

Intensity: Tropical Low, sustained winds near the centre of 35 kilometres per hour with wind gusts to 85 kilometres per hour.

Get ready to buckle down People,  Take care if you are in the area.

in 2012 our grand daughter had to delay her new job at Pardoo Station due to a cyclone - ironic that she arrived back there yesterday to work again and there is another cyclone warning

That sounds like mighty bad luck for your Grand Daughter, villatranquilla.

I'm sure the Station is well prepared for any Cyclone, They've probably been through many over the years.

Here's the latest Warning...........

BoM issues cyclone alert for Pilbara and Kimberley communities as tropical low intensifies,

they usually evacuate everyone to Port Hedland, but no doubt they will be very busy putting everything away today and tomorrow. My Brother spent a few years at Karratha and was keen to experience a cyclone - "never again" he said after sitting through one there a couple of years ago.
