12volt Water Pump

I recently bought an imported Japanese Toyota Camroad. A very well appointed mid size motorhome built by Vantech.

Overall we are very happy with it but one of the things we are trying to improve on, the 12v Reich submersible water pumps (two of them 15lpm in series) installed in the 70 litre water tank run continuously when switched on, with all taps switched off and no leaks.

Does anyone know of a pump that can replace this (these) with a pump that cuts out when under pressure, when the tap is off?

I know they are available as an external unit as we have had them before but room is a bit short. We just don't have access to a dealer who may be able to helpno

Have a look at Shurflo. They are the go-to pump for mist vans. May need to change from submersible to 'in the cupboard' .
Good luck

There has to be a place somewhere on the chassis where you can hang the aforementioned Shurflo pump. They're used in countless vans and motorhomes and give reliable service. I'm thinking the existing pumps could be left in situ and just the outlet pipe run to a new pump.
But to answer your question, sorry I don't know of a submersible pump which is going to solve your problem.

You can buy a 12 volt pressure switch to fit in the water line Whale make them go to a boating shop like witworths
