Depends on the motorhome I think, how much weight you can tow, we have a Conquest on a Fiat Ducato base, and we can only tow up to 1500kg - we have not changed anything else bar put the tow bar on, our "toad" weighs 1200kg (including gypsy trailer), we have no problem, as in having to upgrade suspension.

you can buy a range of trailers designed for carrying a vehicle behind a motor home (usually)
They range from single axle that takes the front wheels of your towed vehicle (prices start at about $4500) to full trailers that are made to be as light weight as possible to keep your total gross weight down

The amazing things you see when nomading Australia
We are looking at a Jimmy or light weight 4WD Suzuki with A frame . I have towed short distance . The fixture to front bumper is important . I also have a 620 kg car carrying trailer . But I find it too bulky to tow a light weight vehicle . I would say as long as suspension is in reasonable nick ball joints etc it will be fine ..
Rules for 'A' framing vary a lot from State to State.
Towing anything changes things from simple to manoeuvre and park to something that is a pain it the butt and increases total costs by heaps.
The attachment and A frame has to be approved .. I have looked at Subaru for towing . Being AWD .. I would have to get brackets for attachment being plastic mummers ..
