Range crossing to Coffs Harbour

Hello all, we are going on a trip from Cairns to Coffs Harbour, via the inland route. we would appreciate any advice on which road to use to cross to the coast road, probably from Warwick. Thanks Robyn

Travel south from Warwick on New England Hwy to the Bald Knob rd approx. 16 Km south of Deepwater, 25 km north of Glen Innes at Dundee .

11 Km to Gwydir Hwy 25 Km east of Glen Innes, sealed road but a little rough.  Saves about 40 Km.

Gwydir Hwy to south Grafton, then Pacific Hwy to Coffs Harbour.

We travel this route to Grafton towing a 20 Ft van .

See map 39 [ NSW] in Camps 8.

This is much better than going via Woodenong, Casino to Grafton.

Phillipn, thanks for your advice, we haven't towed a caravan down that way. Once we leave Coffs, we hope to go towards the Mudgee district.

Cheers Darmc
