Water Transfer

This is our system of transferring water from a container into the van or collecting water from a creek etc. We have been using this method for quite some time and it works really well. Runs from a 7amp hr battery which is in a carry bag with a cigarette lighter adaptor attached when away from the van. Just the normal hose fitting, the pump is a marine fresh water. Bessie

I run one very similar and works well. I changed fittings to a Anderson Plug and fitted a Anderson Plug to side of van near the tank inlet but far enough not to be a problem with water overflow. It runs of the 12v battery system of the van.

Hi Dougwe, Our van came with a 12v cigarette socket mounted on the opposite side to the water tank fillers, that's why our connection lead is so long. The set up would be pretty much the same as yours. We found it so easy to transfer water from the containers into the van without having to hook up and move. Bessie
