Compare caravans

Hi folks

Looking to upgrade our Windsor Rapid to a full van around 19' with toilet, solar, battery pack and a decent sized fridge.

We can pay around $30,000 for a second hand van, and are currently looking at the Paramount Signature, Concept Ascot, Opalate Karinya and Coromal Lifestyle 605.

Dont want a Jayco.

Can anyone give us any advice?

Thanks

Jan

It is a buyer's market.
Find what you want and if the asking price is high, or even if it is not, haggle very hard. Have the cash in the hand.

Cheers,
Peter

Hi Jan

We went from a Jayco 16.49.3 Expanda to a Coromal Element 545 and are very happy. Didn't want a cafe style seating as we do take out the table to make our center area larger. Usually eat outside!
We have upgraded the AGM to 2.2t by changing the tyres and installing a Electric Breakaway. The Cormal had 12 inch brake drums, so that was all good.
Have always found vans were cheaper in the East than here in the West, but the Coromals are manufactured here in WA.
BTW - ensure you check everything works when buying second hand - eg Cooktop, Stove, Fridge, Air Con, power points, etc. Also if they have modified/installed extra wiring, make sure you understand what the 'features' do!

All the best
Glen
