I have noticed that there is some confusion over the correct spelling of a world war two abbreviation. Being a pedantic old codger I feel compelled to put the record straight. FLAK (note no c in there) is an abbreviation of the german word Fleigerabwehrkanone which, literally translated, means Pilot-warding off- cannon. (source Dictionary.com) Should I now prepare myself for some FLAK????
Happy New Year to all.
