I have taken the Photo's From the van this afternoon.
At 2.56pm I got a phone call from Guest who Jayco. They want the photo's too and they can fit us in on the first availible date been Thursday 7th of April 2016. Just great.
I may have to up load the photo,s bit by bit. so please be patient with me.
Frist Photo is at the back right hand side showing a cut running at 45deg with the wire already cutting through the cord It sill has the part no Attached:
Omg jim, looks like when we buy a new van we need to factor into the cost, an experienced caravan repairer to go over the van on pick up day. Disgraceful.
The 7th of April for a fix are they totally of their heads, at the very least the van should be taken in and fixed immediately it's obvious they don't care about customer service, there is another option out near Windsor is a caravan repair centre who have an excellent relationship with Jayco and you could save considerable time going direct and he does a much more professional job than the local dealer.
Jim I will pm you his name and details good luck

Happily doing both to the Max.
Life is like a camera, focus on what's important & you will capture it every Time
Omg. Thats it. Jaycos out the window for me Next time. I will have a look at imported vans now. Damn shame.
if you think they are without problems you could be in for a wake up call
let jim make his list an see how he goes getting things fixed/repaired/replaced so far the problems listed are minor an easy to fix(even tho you shouldn't have to) it will come down to how issues are dealt with by the dealer/jayco
even expensive custom built vans can have issues it is how they are dealt with after you have payed your money so lets follow jims adventure with his new baby an see how he goes
My Jayco has been constantly requiring repairs since I bought it in 2010 I would not ever buy another one. Problems too numerous to mention.
best solution if your not happy with your jayco would be to get rid of it an buy a expensive (100 k plus ) then no more jayco problems even your car or your house needs repairs/maintaince from time to time
hopefully this won't turn into a jayco bashing thread read the dedicated brand threads an see how issues are dealt with on them by dealers/manufactures some are good some not so good lets see how jims issues are dealt with
As Dogbox wrote, on another forum there is a tale of woe with respect to one of the new "built for Australia" European vans.
In this instance the walls are apparently dropping on the chassis, as all the rivets have sheared off. The van travelled 4000 km from its place of purchase to Qld, and this happened. The owners have now been in a fight with the Manufacturer, the importer and the dealer to get it fixed. This has been going on for over 6 months and appears no closer to resolution as each party argues about the cost of repair. And theirs is not the only van that needs this fixed.
As dogbox says, you will be hard pressed to find any van that doesn't have issues when delivered, or develops them soon after. It is an unfortunate state of affairs but that is what it is.
I would suggest you do your own research and then decide what you are a) happy to pay, and b) happy to accept as the quality of the van. Good luck!

Have a look at Elite Ballistic. Bush Tracker or Kedron. The Kedron would be my choice if I spend the kids Inherentance. All made in Oz.
you are not comparing apples with apples the price difference is significant they make enough profit per van to cover any fixing/repairs that maybe required to keep their name on the top of the wish lists of many, but many can't afford the price tag
It may seem I was tough on hey Jim, but I was more annoyed by those critisizing jayco, but as stated I have had four Jayco's, but I have had ten vans over my lifetime and everyone of them has had some problems, I think the forum has given Jayco A hard time on price and quality, but from experience they are the best value for money, and with my latest, the silverline double slideout, I would have to say I would put the silverline up against any make, especially in the value for money.
For those who knock Jayco's have a look at your make of van, including after sales service provided, sure Hey Jim may have found some faults, but I bet if you gave him any van for him to scrutinise he would find as many faults.
Hello Jim, relax as I am predicting everything will be ok. I watched your posts from the start and relate to your situation. Being a worker and making mabe the third most important purchases in your life. ( Home Car Caravan Boat ) With every purchase we make it is exiting but in some cases disappointing. I noticed in the forum that as soon as anyone speaks negatively of Jayco thay are soon howled down by a certain few. Having observed all the posts and being howled down myself I believe Jayco will be rolling out the red carpet when you return to have your van transformed to what it should have been in the first place. I mean when I bought my van no one said to me this is what happens, you have to find all the problems yourself and the seller will fix it had I knew that I probably would not have bought it only to have MY bubble burst. So mark my words Jayco will treat you so nicely you will have nothing but praise for them and the certain few will besprukingthere I told you so. Just Saying.....
