A nifty little trick.

Could be handy on the road.

Now I wonder how many people will knock it, or say so what, or that's not new, or that's not true.

Simmo.

Simmo.

Some of your posts are "baiting" others to respond and this makes you part of the 2% ers IMHO who create and respond to some posts.

I mentioned this when you joined this forum and 2% ers came up, and you have actively commented that others are 2% ers.

Why "invite" adverse comments??? It serves no purpose.

Stick to the fair dinkum stuff that you do well.

Boy Baz421, you 2%ers sure do have a problem if my post is causing you so much stress. Lots of people post lots of tips, you must get a lot of sleepless nights from them.    If it is all that bad and offensive, get the moderators to take it down.

Simmo.

Gday...

Simmo .... maaaaaaaaate hmm

Those referred to as 2%ers are the ones who post provocative comments simply to stir up the forum and its members.

Despite that you feel that you are not a 2%er ... if you continue to post things like the comments above as often as you do - and respond with similar provocative responses to comments by others then you are very close to actually being a 2%er. cry

Perhaps you think you are just being jocular, witty and humourous - but provocative posts really are the province of the 2%ers.

Cheers - and just keep up your better, informative and genuinely witty posts - John

rockylizard, I try to only give what I get. Maybe I am not so bright, so could you please tell me where I have been provocative?  If I do get a bit hot under the collar, it is only because some other clown starts it.                                                                     My knock it, or say so what, or that's not new, or that's not true quote, was only there because almost every post from myself and others seems to get at least one or more 2%ers popping up. I realise the Grey Nomads is mainly people over 21 years, and I try hard to make allowances.

Cheers,,,,,,,maaaaaaaaate.  handshake.gif

Young Simmo, this is a great idea. Maybe you could pop it in Hints, Tips and Great ideas section where it can be found in the future.
Maybe leave off the 2nd paragraph which is not necessary in this post or any other.

Yes you did miss something and it wasn't inappropriate /offensive. If you re read you should be able to see the thrust of my post.

Nothing to do with moderators either, just "baiting" responses which caused a BIG furore ages ago. The RESULT was heaps of well respected members left (sick of the baiting and acrimonious attitude of some THE MINORITY), and this site has not really recovered as they we very positive and informative posters.

Those looking to generate/perpetuate arguments were colloquially known as the 2% ers. Some were obvious and others were not.

Some of the worst left, BUT unfortunately NOT ALL.

I hope this clears the air.

Cheers Baz
