Any Bushtracker owners there? I know they are a good heavy duty off road van with a high price tag. I would be interested in any info on how the company handles warranty issues and general after sales service. If I purchase a BT I will be a long way from the factory and getting it back to fix up any defects would be difficult. I have air suspension on my current van and was thinking about this option - I would be interested in any feedback.
We have had our BT for about 11 years now and usually travel for about 6 - 7 mths each year and we don't just stay on the black top.
We bought it second hand but its condition and price were too much to pass up and, through the 11 years we have upgraded or replaced things because of necessity or just wanting the latest model component. Most things I have fitted ir installed my self but on the occasions that I have had to get information or purchase something directly from the BT factory, they have been very helpful, even to the point of carrying a larger item out to our van which was "double parked" outside their workshop.
And from what I read on the Bushtracker forum from other members, their after sales service is second to none & we rarely hear from other members with any
"warranty claims".
I have just started researching for our van in retirement.... And the mind boggles ....... However the BT forum was very impressive and comments all positive with some after sales stories there. Guess that BT number 1.
I did see one problem in my nine years on GRR. an electrical issue, owner was on the phone for advice with no problems. However he waited til getting into Derby to find an auto electrician and all was sorted.......
Now back to my wishlist......

2010 19 BT. Bought second hand. No problems and it is a seriously well built van. Done a few trips on Vic Alps rough tracks and the simplicity suspension works a treat. Steep entry and exit river crossings no problem. Nothing out of place on arrival. The steep rear departure angle is a must for off road camping.
The Vic Alps is arguably the best free camping destination in Oz. Fabulous camp sites on dozens of rivers in beautiful settings. The BT eats it up.
