Hi new to the site and would like to get in touch with anyone who has experience with this unit. Especially those that may have had it fitted beneath their bed.
Hi Greg, sounds like an echo. We have removed our unit as it was generating 38 plus degrees beneath the bed space. This heat was also been transferred into the cabin space through heat outlet pipes. This occurs with the unit only been used in its hot water capacity, as it would not be a problem in winter conditions. According to Dometic who tested the unit and arrived at that temperature felt it was quite Ok. I am interested to find others that suffer similar issues.
Greg, thanks I thought I was going crazy, the unit is under my side of the bed and it can get very hot, as you said in winter OK, but summer is very unpleasant. I now only put the water heater on when I need it and try not to have it on when I'm in bed, otherwise it works fine, don't really know if I can remove it, I'm resigned to working around the situation. I also would be interested infant one else has found a solution.
Cheers
Greg

Unfortunately even with Dometic's so called solution would not fix the design flaws. In their opinion as we are supposedly the only ones that have complained, they and the caravan manufacturer appeared unwilling to put in too much effort. Have you complained to your manufacturer or Dometic. I am taking further action to recover my solution costs and am trying to gain information only from others who have suffered the same problem to support my case.
Thanks,
Greg
