Opal caravans

Hi there, looking at buying or first caravan to go touring in for 3 months at a time. Current choice is an Opal 19ft 6inch van with rear entry. They look great and was wondering if anyone has any experiences good or bad with these vans. the alternative is a Majestic Knight same size.

Don't think we will be going off the bitumen at this stage so also wondering whether its worth the extra for the offload van by the same makers?

thanks in advance for your feedback

My only comment is, have a wander through your closest caravan park and check out the vans and imagine them having a rear entry and the area that would be available at the rear. Also consider dust if you are going to do any dirt road travel.

Does Opal make a caravan with the door on the rear?
Or do you mean on the rear /side?

My sister and brother in law have an Opal, they bought it in Geelong. We have done maybe 10,000km with them on tour and they absolutely love it. They have had very few minor hiccups and the after sales service is a unreal. The service dept have even delivered a new overhead hatch to their home and fitted it.

can only speak of this personal account, I'm not aware of any other Opal owners.

So many to choose from, good luck!! smile

Cheers Dianne
