I have the Q100. No temp guage and no high lid. All works for me as I have had a Q since first hitting the market many moons ago now and have learnt timings for temps etc. If you don't have limited hight storage go with the high lid and temp gauge to make life easier in the early days.
I use a trivet with 2 layers of tin foil under for roasting or heating things etc. You can get fancy trays now but to fancy pancy for me and the the foil works well.
If you like Pizza, the Pizza Stone is a must and worth it.
A 1/2 breakfast plate could be handy.
Brass triangle (Weber) wire brush & BBQ Wipes.
Foil trays, helps with cleaning up.
These are the only things I have and all work well for me.
Do a search on WeberQ or BabyQ would result in heaps of info. Also look through the "What's cooking" section of the forum as heaps of yummy info there too.
Happy Qing.
I LOVE MY Q

I have the baby Q high dome with thermostat , But the best thing I brought is Thermo Prob , I use it when cooking roast it beeps 5 deg before it cooked and beeps when cooked , Meat always perfect
We have a Q100, no thermometer, standard lid, Trivet, breakfast plate. I also have a longer hose for it to connect to the spare cylinder on the front of the van.
We take it on every trip and use it for cooking roasts, chooks, steak, breakfast, snags
I have the wireless meat thermometer which is fantastic when cooking a big roast.
I clean it a couple of times a year with oven cleaner and the water blaster.

I have a Baby Q without temp guage, with pizza stone & tray & breakfast plate. I cook most of my veggies etc in foil trays sitting on a wire trivet. I cook using instinct and gut feelings. My latest acquisition is a LED light that fits to the handle. When switched on, it lights when you lift the lid, illuminating the plate, and goes out when you close it. Fantastic for cooking after dark - gone are the torch in one hand and tongues in the other. We love our Baby Q.

We've had the low lid and now the high lid with temperature gauge, we find the latter one gives us more cooking options, like using a cast iron skillet inside.
But really they both are great, the higher lid is far better for us anyway.
As for extras, as said we use a skillet inside so no breakfast plate needed, but the trivet is essential and the cleaning brush.
We have the high lid one with the temp gauge - pizza stone is great for all sorts of things - scones, cakes (evens out the temp so no burning).
Might look at getting the "side table", very handy if using a small table, also the light, as under the awning we put it at then end, which is not close enough to the light. One of the best things we have.

Ok Jules do you place scones straight on to the pizza stone and the cake tin on pizza stones and what temp do you have oven , would love to be able to bake in it .
BarBQ Galore also sell Weber in W/A. If you need the temperature gauge you have to buy from a specialist dealer like BBQ Galore as Weber won't sell them thru general stores like Bunnings/Masters

Hi, baby Q's are reasonably priced anyways, I would definitely go the model with temp gauge, if think they come with the grill plate that can be split also ? New models are in a nice flat black color if that's what you like. We love our Webber we have 2 one for Van & 1 for home. You owe it to yourself to get what you want !

I agree, cooking would be pretty hit and miss without the ability to monitor temperature.
