We were given the good news back in April, and now we realise the gestation period is worth all the wait.
Our baby is due anytime now. The due date around 22nd of December, and proud we both will be.
The delivery will be here in Sydney.
The Nursery is not ready to accommodate such a new arrival. I having to do all the work, as Lambie will be working up till the 18th of December, trying to keep her mind off the situation.
I never new, how we accumulated so much stuff over the years.
I have booked a council cleanup to make enough space and so the neighbours won't talk about us.
All the prep work, washing the walls down, its so hard in the hot weather, that I think I will just bring in the hose as it will be Quicker. I also through we might put some second hand carpet down to make the room quitter and more comfortable so we can sit and admire the little one.
We have gone over the route to take and driven it a few times already.
I'm leaving nothing to chance, I put a new fuel filter in the car as well so nothing can go wrong at the last minute.
We haven't decided on a name as yet. Lambie wants and I wants so we will wait till the delivery.
We have have been told to expect a slightly bigger delivery weight as the baby grows. The Specialist said it will not be ounces, but more on the kg side.
Lambie is getting restless as the time approaches. We were going to go to classes to learn more, however the cost is out of our range. So we like many others will get there by trail and error.
By the way if you think we are to old we are not. Other couples have done it, So can We.
We can't wait now for the arrival of our new van.

We are expecting a birth weight according to the scans of somewhere around 2000kg for our very first caravan.

Having our own newborn we can appreciate your growing excitement We hope all is on time and that it doesn't have to be induced . Ours was late, but you forget all about that the day you get to take it home.
You'll have some sleepless night at first as you get everything settled, Is it safely tucked away? What food to put in it? Does it need water? Does it need changing? So many decisions to be made.
The up sides are many though. The fun you'll have taking it to new and exciting places. The adoring looks you'll get from people as you travel around. Plus it's fun going out buying new toys for the newborn.

We had our nursery for Monty ready about 12 months prior to his arrival. A lovely 6 bay garage, in which he now takes pride of place in the middle two bays. Drive in drive out.

So True, our lives are definetly changing hopefully for the better. In retirement I just want to sleep for three hours a day for the first three months to get over working.
Hi Jim, we retired in January. At first we had a lot to do with community work and stuff around the home. We have just started free camping and love it. We have always had caravans and been on a time limit but now we have found a different way to travel. We will do longer trips next year when the weather is cooler but have done a lot of short trips for 3 weeks, 2 weeks and last week did a 5 day trip as there was nothing in the calendar. So just drove 3 hours and enjoyed where we were.

Our last working day is Monday July 4th. But the way we are both feeling the work load now, we are thinking Easter will do us. Matter of fact Right now feels very very good. we are both buggered. As soon as our baby is delivered it could be time out.
