All capital cities (except for the national capital) have horizontal polarisation.
For a complete list of all transmitters download this file. It's a spreadsheet that can be viewed in M$ Excel or alternately OpenOffice and LibreOffice Calc if your M$ Office suite is too old to open it (don't upgrade Office when those two alternate suites oar open source and free.) This file is produced by ACMA and is the one that all other sites use to glean their info.
There are several sheets, one each for each of the radio services an digital TV. When you are viewing the sheets you can save them in a format so you can edit them. I first of all hide the columns I am not interested in. I then sort them in state order and latitude and save the resultant file. When I am looking for the nearest stations I go to the state section I am interested in and scroll up (or down) the state listing looking for stations at the same approximate latitude. The polarisation in indicated in column E (Polarisation.)
