Big Lizzie.jpgManufactured in 1914 "Big Lizzie" was intended to cart wool around Broken Hill. Sadly a flooded Murray River meant it could not get past Mildura. Weighing 45 tonnes, it measured 98 feet in length with its two carriages in tow. Powered by a 60HP Blackstone Crude Oil engine, "Big Lizzie" had a top speed of 2 mph. Today it rests proudly at Red Cliffs near Mildura.
