Grey Water Tank

We are having a Caravan built and are at the stage of adding a few extras.

What is the opinion of the Nomads as to whether we add a grey water tank now for approx $500 fitted.

I realise that it will depend on where we camp if we will ever use it but some people are saying that more places are requesting that you have one or similar.

Where are these places?

Your views would be appreciated.

Thank you

We had a grey water tank fitted when the van was being built. [102 litres] More expensive to fit one after the van is built, as the plumbing is easier to fit.

Yes we do use it, as their are more and more places that require you to have one. If you have a washing machine it is a good idea to have the drain pipe going straight to the grey water tank as some vans have a problem with water backing up in shower.

Hi Russel,

We to are having the tank put in on Jayco's assembly line too. Yes it costs extra as your paying for someone's else's labour to install.

When we pick it up I don't have the trouble of fitting it myself and if there's any problems its under their warranty.

Every thing else I will install myself to where I want it to be my way.

In SA Tumby Bay the council as an example has set up a site for fully self contained units for $10 per night 2km from town.

More councils are coming on board to attrack more $$$$ to their towns.

Jim
