Recently I came across a story about the WA caravan/camping legislation that included a bit saying that even equestrian clubs would have to apply for permission if they camped on property owned by the Club.
It went on to say that if home owners had two or more RV's at their property for one day or more they would need a permit to do so. THAT's for one day not the three days that is usually mentioned. I'm looking for that particular story. If anyone has it I would very much appreciate it if they could reply. Thanks TommyG.
Its currently under this topic on page 4 and started by Weevil with the heading "Campers confused about WA new camping laws (or words to that effect).
It has the URL to take you to the ABC report and also the DEC (State Govt) consultation paper - which also includes requests for responses - which we ALL need to do to stop the CPs taking over all camping on public and private land in WA
PLEASE make sure you make a submission to stop this draconian legislation

Agree with Bruce dangerous peice of legitlation .It will be the death nell of our club along with a wide range of other groups including families who wish to use country private properties for camping for more than 3 days.
Every one who camps at a friends place, clubs that camp on their own land or some one elses for club activities, travellers who camp in gravel pits etc whether they stay a night or longer will all be affected by this legislation. Please send in a submission. Reading thru some of the submissions already received you don't need to be a Rhodes Scholar just email your views be it a sentence or longer. The more submissions the better and hopefully the government will listen to our concerns about this legislation and it will get canned.
Thanks Bruce, that isn't actually what I was looking for. I have read all that and also submitted my papers.
Somewhere there's a bit that says if there are two caravan/motorhomes on a private property it is an event and a permit must be obtained.
I've been searching for that piece, in the same bit it mentioned the equestrian clubs. I'm not particularly interested in the equestrian clubs issue but I remember that was in the same piece of information.
