Hello my friends, As we have just sold our home ,We will be on the road for a while ,till our new home is built in about 4 months.we took a nostalgic trip back to Maryborough Qld for my hubby,We decided to stay at a farm stay Caravan Park just out side of town, Called Chrreynomad RV Park and farm stay 113 Lawson st Maryborough, when we parked we fond out that the owner used to work with hubby many years ago, when you arrive just go pick a spot, and when 5 o'clock comes go to the club house and get greeted by the owners at Happy Hour,we enjoyed the relaxing peaceful surroundings .so if you want to enjoy something different try this park I enjoyed watching the boys play snooker each day .
Also i would like to mention a tranquil bush camp at Kilkivan, you stay for 5 nights and only pay for four nights very good value, the amenities are different but very clean and lovely hot showers, there is no phone ,TV,or internet, but who worries about that we didn't lots of birds ,king parrot and kookaburras right at our door step, on a sunday go into town and stop at the German Coffee shop you will be treated to country style hospitality.
Gypsy lady, does the Maryborough location have powered sites, toilet and shower facilities? I thought I saw the people describe the venue as "not a caravan park", or am I mistaken??
The Cheery Nomad has all the facilities(all new)including a great camp kitchen, the pool wasn't open when we stayed(winter). The owners are a great couple and the rate at the time(2015) was from memory $24 stay 7pay6.
Cheers Baz
