Have not done it in the past couple of years, but have previously used this route several times, towing van. Turn onto the Kidman at Goolgowi. All good sealed road.
We did the Kidman from Cobat to Bourke earlier this year - good road.

The Kidman / Matilda is sealed all the way from south (Jerilderie) to north (Normanton) as far as I know. It will be my next big trip finishing up at Cairns. I am assured it is Ok for vans. I did as far as Cobar and across to Broken Hill. No problems. May need to plan for fuel. Not big distances betwen fuel stops but do not skip one even if you think you may not need fuel.
